For the past two years I have had the honor of participating in the District 6 ArtWalk, as well as being one of the coordinators and representatives from D6 Elementary schools.

     The annual District 6 & Friends Art Walk celebrates “Youth Art Month” and “Music in Our Schools Month.” This spectacular event showcases artwork created by hundreds of students attending District 6 and Charter Schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade and over 50 creative teachers, dance, music, and art! The art Walk is coordinated with the Downtown Greeley Arts District and held on the First Friday of March. The Art Walk exhibits at nearly 30 different Downtown Greeley locations featuring 30 area schools, including Charter Schools as well as artwork from UNC art students.

Along with the artwork, there is live music and dance performances at various locations marked on the map and a collaborative community artwork.

     During the 16/17 school year, my school was able to show at The Greeley Ice Haus, this past year, 17/18, we were able to show at The Bean Plant Studio. Many families came and the event was a huge success and great fun!
